Another oldie that resurfaced. It was practice with charcoal and tinting. The skeletal structure in the background is a pelvis, in case anyone was wondering. At first, I thought it was a really strange-looking mask. Ha! Silly me.

Oh, and ignore the smudges. This picture was matted and shrink wrapped and then carted around a couple dozen times. (If that's not a good enough excuse, then I blame it all on my brother.)

I love how you use the medium as your medium shade (does that make sense?). It gives the picture a real 'quiet' feel to it. And it reminds me of Texas. Awesome job!

Thanks! I think I might try something like this again, but with a more...happier...subject.

Hey, I was Animal Sci, remember? Cow skulls make me happy. ;)

But how about a little red cow with her calf? That might be cute.

You know...reddish-brown cows. Like angus. Just a thought.

Yeah, the breed is called 'Angus'. It comes in red and black.

Okay, so we'll swap stuff! I'll do a talking car, and you can do a pair of cows! How awesome! ;)
